3D WORK
Typical Tools for me include UNITY, Virtools, Flash, 3DSMax, Gamebryo, Unreal, EMotionFX and other proprietary apps.
This was a contract gig for Venan of some fantasy weapons weapon sets for a game called Book of Heroes. I created them in 3DSMax and touched up in Photoshop.
This is a contemporary themed version of the game CLUE with hidden objects and minigames in the mix. I used V-Ray and 3DSMAX to work in these scenes. Each hidden object required a separate render layer. Lots of lighting finesse as I recall.
I was Project Lead for these releases. Besides outsourcing, animating, modeling, designing, illustration, texturing, scheduling... I was in charge of getting it all together under tight deadlines. Can you tell I like Fantasy?
Zoo Tycoon 2 (Microsoft) required prototypes before production. I created an animated environment in a special engine showcasing special gameplay features such as rain and changing times of day and guest POV. The second prototype demonstrated a tiger exhibit and gameplay features. I was a primary environment artist during production of the game creating trees, buildings, terrain and props. I also worked on the original Zoo Tycoon and 2 Expansions.
I was Lead Artist on Majesty: The Fatnasy Kingdom Sim working for several years in the 90s pouring my guts into it. I caressed everything including concepts, cinematics, portraits, game art, interface, animations, fx, promotionals, the initial DG... you name it.
I was Lead Artist for Heroes of Might and Magic 2: The Price of Loyalty. 25 Looping cutscene segues, pixel game art, menus, portraits all needed doing in a few short months.
