GAME DESIGN
I use Excel, MSWord, Powerpoint, Visual Studio and the like for documentation and Google tools for flowcharts and diagrams.
I was Game Designer on Adera. Adera is an episodic adventure game designed especially for the Surface Tablet published by Microsoft. I helped to develop the story plot and dialog script. I managed and helped developed the pipeline for all game text. I designed and developed minigames. I maintained and wrote the design guides and other spin-off game spec for both the internal team and the client.
I co-designed and managed Fate with other remote designers. That meant balancing gameplay metrics including attributes and parameters of items, monsters, and locations. I twiddled and tweaked the random generators for dungeon layout and populations. I helped develop the premise and stories. I adjusted and integrated all equipment and weapons and pets a hero could have. I added crosshairs for all points of interest and special fx in towns meaning where an NPC might stand or a torch flickers. This role had numerous varied and detailed tasks that required close coordination with the rest of the team.
